Seminar on “Integrated Pest Management” at KEnEU

On September 23, a seminar on “Integrated Pest Management System: Modern Approaches and Prospects for Implementation for Agricultural Students” was held at Kostanay Engineering and Economics University.
The event was organised by Kazakh Scientific Research Institute for Plant Protection and Quarantine named after Zh. Zhiembayev as part of the international Erasmus+ project No. 101082564 “AGROKAZ – Development of a dual education bachelor’s programme in agroecology in Kazakhstan” (Erasmus+ programme).
The seminar was aimed at improving the level of training of agricultural students, developing their competencies in the field of phytosanitary safety, as well as familiarising them with innovative technologies and biological methods of plant protection.

As part of the event, the institute’s specialists gave presentations and held a presentation of scientific developments. In addition, the guests organised an exhibition where they presented visual materials on the institute’s activities, modern approaches to plant protection, and methods for monitoring harmful organisms.
The seminar attracted great interest from students and teachers. Participants were able to learn about the practical aspects of the research institute’s work, which helped to strengthen the link between science and education.
