From November 11 to 15, 2024, KazNARU hosted the Green Week, a major event dedicated to sustainable development and environmental education in the agricultural sector. This event was attended by representatives of all Erasmus+ AGROKAZ project partners.
The topic of Green Week 2024 was particularly relevant given the global challenges the world is facing: climate change, scarcity of natural resources and population growth. The future of food security largely depends on how efficiently we use land, water and new technologies.
The event included various activities, including scientific debates, master classes from leading experts, the opening of an agroecology laboratory, round tables and other forms of interaction. The participants also visited agribusinesses to see the results of sustainable agricultural technologies in practice.
Special attention during Green Week was paid to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and research projects aimed at addressing global challenges. The event was a milestone for all participants, providing a unique platform for sharing knowledge and strengthening partnerships. It was a great moment to find new partners and strengthen cooperation between educational and research institutions working in the field of agricultural and environmental technologies.
The AGROKAZ Consortium will continue to work on the integration of the world’s best practices in agricultural education and sustainable development, using the experience and results of such large-scale events as Green Week.
