The second day of KEnEU International Week 2025

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Laura Paluanova, coordinator of the Erasmus+ National Office in Kazakhstan, Tatiana Brankov, professor and coordinator of the AGROKAZ project at the University of Novi Sad, and Marina Alekseeva, professor, PhD, Director of the Department of Analysis and Strategy at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University Marina Alekseeva, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Kazakh Research Institute of Plant Protection and Quarantine named after Zhiembaev Alibek Uspanov, Associate Professor Toraygyrov of the University Viktor Kamkin.

Vice-Rector for Academic Development of KEnEU Zhuldyz Oshakbayeva noted that the project has become an important platform for the exchange of best practices between partners. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the project coordinators, universities and employers for their significant contribution to its development.

Professor Tatiana Brankov emphasised that the participation of the University of Novi Sad in the AGROKAZ project had become a special story of cooperation based on mutual understanding, respect and cultural exchange. She noted the warm welcome, hospitality and openness of Kazakhstan, adding that the joint work had turned into a valuable experience that was difficult to put into words.

During the event, Professor Brankov presented a report entitled “From idea to implementation: creating a dual programme in agroecology in Kazakhstan” describing the key approaches to forming a new educational model.

Toraygyrov University, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University and KEnEU also presented their results and experience in implementing the programme, highlighting the stages completed and achievements made.

In turn, foreign guest Tihana Sudarić, professor at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Zagreb, shared European quality standards, methodology and experience. The speakers noted that the AGROKAZ project is of particular importance for the modernisation of agricultural education in Kazakhstan. It contributes to the training of new types of specialists, strengthens international partnerships and enhances the practical orientation of education.
