Responsibilities

The job responsibilities of an agroecologist can vary greatly depending on the field.

• Study and provide assistance in farm management, including cultivation, fertilization, harvesting, soil erosion and composition, disease prevention, nutrition, crop rotation, and marketing; develop methods for increasing productivity; and study and develop plans and policies for land use management.
• Organizational and managerial activities related to the organization and management of production processes in agriculture.
• Production and technological activities related to the cultivation of agricultural crops using intensive or resource-saving technologies and the organization of labor in crop production and other agricultural work.
• Financial and economic activities: calculating financial and labor resources associated with crop production.
• Consulting activities related to agro-accounting and consultations with specialists and workers engaged in crop production.
• Research activities.
